I AM CREATUR: Part 1 is a body of work that showcases different art forms in my individual style. To highlight the current stage in my artistic development. 

I AM CREATUR is an exhibition which forms a connection between the acceptance of identity and oneself. I like to highlight symbolism of rebirth in my artworks to portray the development of my identity.

I use the symbolism of a crown of birds in my artworks to highlight freedom, thoughts and rebirth.

I use the image of the Flamingo to symbolise diverse communities and the balance between being accepted by those communities, through the emulation of those around us with finding our own individual strengths, styles and thoughts. 

For me, the image of the Currawong represents resilience and the cycle of loss and renewal that comes with becoming yourself. During the process of coming out, there is often grief for the life once imagined, alongside the emergence of a truer self.

This body of work creates space to share my story and the stories echoed across queer communities. Finding and holding onto your identity in a world that isn’t always accepting can take time. Through this work, I hope to inspire connection, reflection, and create a space that celebrates our truer selves.
